mtrocket 07-21-2008, 03:44 PM I have ordered a shop manual for my 07 but in the meantime, I need to check and top off, if needed, my transmission. I purchased my 07 wrecked and have the rad assy in place; when I start the car, I have a slight grinding sound coming from the underside. I am thinking I'm low on tranny fluid; hoping you can tell me how to check and top off. thanks mtrocket 07-23-2008, 05:32 PM I got the "transmission fluid fill and check procedure" from the GM dealer here... HOLY CRAP!!! What it takes to check and fill the tranny. Guess I'll take it to the XLR certified tech and have him do it for $100 + fluid. Seems like a pretty fair price... Rod cadillac tech 07-23-2008, 09:27 PM :) It is a pain to check the transmission fluid level and it is even harder to add fluid to the 6 speed automatic. The 5 speed automatic is a little easier.
