I was driving home and the screen kept saying no fob detected. Since I had a long way to go I just kept driving and after getting home I got out of the car and it locked with the fob on the consul. I got the second fob and opened the car and started it up with the same result "no fob detected".
I took it to the dealer the next day and it was still doing the same thing. The dealer ordered two new fobs and reprogramed. They said there was a bullitin for this issue. So far it seems to have worked. I havent been locked out again.

Yup, there was/is a bulleton on it. What year is your car??
The reprogram fixes it. But be sure to check your FOB battery's once an awhile and just replace them. It makes a ton of dfference in distance and reliability.

Also, try to find a seller whose stock has a frequent turnover. Buying a half-dead battery is false security and frustrating!

I jsut came back from the dealer and it did not fix it. They replaced the fobs and it did not work. They are now looking at the door control module and the antenna. I am still getting a no fob detected on the screen.

In my estimation, too much technology...........to soon. It's like a building a motor to go 1,000 mph and no way to stop it because I forgot the brakes, or Murphy's law.

There could be a problem with the "easy key module" or the antennas' reception.

I got the car back today and so far it is working. They replaced both Key Fobs and the door control module. Made it all the way home (9 miles) with no incident.

i've had the keyless entry "brains" replaced twice so far on my 04. Rumor has it that the newer models (05 and newer) aren't as susceptible as the older ones.
if your car's brains were replaced, you should be fine from now on! I assume you have an 04......
PS> I've also had the switch on the driver's side door replaced......

I have an 2005 model. The people that I have talked too with the newer models have had less problems.

I love this car but it locked me out twice yesterday, once at the costco gas pumps. They had just replaced the fobs and it was working great. Back to Cadillac
