Hey guys, nice job on categorizing.
Bobo

Wow!! the "Cadillac XLR Technical Discussion" threads are different now! We as a group must now stay on subject and no hi-jacking of posts, or we'll never find an old subject that we'll want to look back up! Might even confuse the search.

THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS!!!

I have been wanting to do that for quite awhile!!! There is TONS of very valuable information that Bob aka standby, popbigguy and many, many others have contributed over the years. But it seemed to me that it wasn't easily assessible to the members both new and old.

I got tired of moving things (the last 100 days only at this point) so there are some reminents that need to be placed in existing or new categories.

I want to move some of the older discussion items as well.

Thanks to everyone for thier input and I hope we will see more.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF THERE ARE OTHER CHANGES THAT WILL HELP YOUR XLR FORUM SITE EXPERIENCE!!

(I need to create the new Regional Rally Site Topics next--Las Vegas and St. Augustine before The Professor gets tired of waiting).

Best Wishes to everyone

One of the most helpful things I can suggest comes from the CTS-V forum, of which I've been a member of for four years. On the top line of each person's post is a box that details their car's year, and mods. Too often, I see posts here that lack basic information that others trying to help have to ask for repeatedly.

Another common issue comes from folks who post problems but never follow up and describe resolutions. Did they die as a result? Who knows?!! Knowing how issues are resolved is the kind of information that is super-valuable to me, --especially as these cars age and the inevitable bugs start to breed. The problems cars experience in their first couple of years are very different from cars five years older and more. I've gotten a lot of great information from this site, and use it as a way to maximize my enjoyment of this unique and great automobile. The bottom line: Let's make this site the de facto standard go-to resource for this car!

CCC :cheers

Well Said!!!!

We actually seem to be that site now for the other site members and for the real nice people at Bowling Green and Cadillac HQ.

While we're on the subject of improvement suggestions . . .

Would it be possible to have a FAQ section? I've used them with great sucess. Routine questions and general interest subjects such as: "How do I change my oil?" "How do I figure out what options my car has?" "How do I install an XM antenna?" etc, can save people a lot of time and are great places to add useful tidbits of advice. Just my .02.

Xcellent new layout of the Technical Discussion section by the way. Bravo Zulu!!!
Keep up the good work!
