BUT did you get a chance to read the article and look at the graph closely??? WOW definitely NOT good news for GM or the auto industry!!!!

They mentioned possibly getting rid of Hummer (old news), Saturn, SAAB, and one other.

The interesting thing is that if they do reduce product line offerings they consider Cadillac and Chevrolet safe. Of course no specifics on the XLR.

I could see Pontiac blended into Buick. Did you know they sell more Buicks in China than the US? Must be old people there too!:glol

I can see Buick leaving the GM portfolio. Pontiac or Chevy should absorb a few of Buicks most popular models and GM could eliminate the division.

I agree with Ruth Ann. I'm happy with what they have already given us---a beautiful and fun car.

I agree Ruth Ann, but look what Tom Peters came up with. Belts on the side. You know GM, take a good thing and ruin it

But, you know what .... I'd take it with or without the vents ....
They had to do SOMETHING, or I'm telling you, it would just be another VW Beetle. Same-o, same-o, year after year .....
Actually, I'll probably just keep Lola ... :yesnod :yesnod

Well, Lord knows I LOVE Cadillac and my XLR. As much as I would hate to see any of the GM brands fade away, GM in todays market place really only does need Chevy, Pontiac, and Cadillac. Heck I work for Toyota and Lexus and it is easy to see their receipe for sucess. Toyota as the breed and butter, Scion for the very young generation, and well.............Lexus as their "Cadillac". I may get fried over that last sentance! lol

As Mercedes has always had an SL as a flagship............CADILLAC NEEDS THE XLR! So I only hope they would not stray away from a portfolio and product that is working for them. If they do, I can tell you that I would be taking my roadster money right on over to Aston-Martin
