Bruce
Would you please forward the Tech bulletin or Bulletin # for the Supercharger Oil Level being low and possibly causing a squeak at startup. I took my baby in yesterday, but since the supercharger if factory sealed, they realy don't not want to open it up.
Buy the way, they installed a new battery - it was shot, and updated the programs.
Thanks,
Todd

Think maybe it could be the drive belt making that noise?

#PIP3839: Belt Squeal - keywords a/c air bolt chirp cold conditioning noise tensioner - (Jun 15, 2006)
Subject: Belt Squeal
Models: 2006 Cadillac XLR-V
with LC3 4.4L Engine
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment of a squeal or chirp noise coming from the engine compartment, usually on a cold start. The cause may be the foreign material in the bolt hole for the upper bolt of the air conditioning belt tensioner, not allowing the bolt to achieve full clamp load on the tensioner.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Confirm that the noise is coming from the A/C belt by running the engine with the supercharger belt removed. If the noise is still present, remove the air conditioning belt tensioner, run an M8 X 1.25 tap into the upper bolt hole for the tensioner to clean the threads, and blow out the hole with compressed air. Run the bolt into the hole by hand and make sure that the bolt goes into the hole to the end of the bolt threads. Reinstall the A/C belt tensioner and confirm that the noise is corrected. If the noise is still present, call GM Technical Assistance.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

#PIC4196: Squeal Noise, Right Side Engine Area, Engine Running - keywords 4.4 air CACS charge coolant cooling pump remote system whine - (Sep 19, 2006)
Subject: Squeal Noise, Right Side Engine Area, Engine Running
Models: 2006-2007 Cadillac XLR-V Series Only
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Squealing noise from right side of engine compartment when the engine is running. This may be the result of the Charge Air Cooling System (CACS) being low on coolant. The source of the noise is the Charge Air Coolant Pump which is located on the forward side of the right front wheel house.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the Charge Air Cooling System Coolant level per SI Document 1739672 before attempting any other repairs on the system. After filling the system inspect it for evidence of any leaks. Some incidents of short fills have been reported. There is no need to replace the pump if the noise is corrected when the system is full.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

Charge Air Cooling System Coolant Level Inspection
Important: Make sure the intercooler system is cool and that the pump is not in the ON position.
Remove the manifold sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
Remove the charge air coolant cap.
Important: It is normal to have a very small pocket of air at the top of the system below the fill cap on a properly filled charge air cooling system.
Verify that coolant is visible near to top of the opening.
Important: Use a 50/50 mixture of DEX-COOL® antifreeze and clean drinkable water.
Pour the coolant in very small amounts to avoid coolant spillage from the charge air coolant cap port or from funnel.
Using a small funnel, slowly fill the charge air cooling system through the charge air coolant cap port with a 50/50 coolant mixture until the level is slightly below the charge air coolant cap port. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities .
Ensure the charge air cooler cooling fill cap is installed in the proper orientation.
• The alignment boss (1) is at the rear of the charge air cooler manifold.
• The alignment boss (1) is at the front of the charge air cooler cooling filling cap.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Install the charge air coolant cap bolts.
Tighten

I hope this helps,

You are a great resource thanks for your inputs!
I was wondering about what was involved in upgrading an intercooler and your response answered my questions.
