Car is a blast to drive, and the hardtop convertible is the best of both worlds. Top goes down in 20 seconds.

2004 Black Raven Cadillac XLR with Cashmere Interior. Car has 36,XXX miles and is certified pre-owned till Feb 2010 or 100,000 miles. EVERYTHING is covered. I am the 2nd owner. First owner was an older female (60+). Never in an accident or fender bender.

The car has every available option: XM radio and polished wheels

Car is pretty much immaculate. 1 wheel has slight, slight curb rash, and 1 little rock chip in hood. Everything else is pretty much flawless

Brake pads/rotors have alot of life left

The tires: Michelin Pilot Sport Runflats have A LOT of treadlife left. These tires are $450-$500 a piece.


I am looking to get $38,400 for the car. Edmunds TMV for this car with CPO is $43k. Look at autotrader, not much CPO in this price range at all. The title is currently held by GMAC, I have a small balance due on the car I believe $9-10k.

Beautiful car. You can buy Certified Pre-Owned from a Private Party? I thought that had to be a dealer.

To get the CPO first you must be a dealer. But now that it IS CPO, it transfers to whoever owns it after who bought it from the dealer as a CPO.

The market is just plain bad.

Nice car, I'm still in the shopping phase. But you are right, bad market if you are a seller. I'm seeing some really great prices on auto-trader right now.

Mikey, It would be interesting to know how much you will get for it on a trade and how much off the new car. Sometimes it is tough to figure that out, so I always seperate the old car from the new to see what they are offering, especially if I had to pay sticker, that's an easy one to do. Sorry you couldn't sell to someone for that price.

Anyone? I know it isnt the price if you look around there is like 1 or 2 cars on every car sale site that is a black cpo anywhere near my price... this is a great car with 2 years of warranty left and 62k miles left. Hardtop convertible, heated/ac seats, touch screen dvd navigation. What more could you want in a $33k car UNDER WARRANTY!?! Something that MSRPed at $90k.

Here on the forum the taillights and windows look tinted, not so on e-bay, plus different license plate. Anyhow, I saw this combination in person and it does look nice. I hate to talk about a car without seeing it firsthand, but if e-bay doesn't work out maybe we should talk and get some pictures, which is kind of why I was looking on e-bay. Either way, good luck with a sale.

It's not just the XLR's, if it makes you feel any better the dealer I bought my XLR at had Jaguars that had lost even more over the same period.

Reason I am looking, my wife wants the XLR (I am with you on the C6 idea, but I settled on a C5 Z06 (04) black and love it.

BTW, do they all have the "paddle" shift on the shifter or is that an option?

Well I made a free $500 in a deposit. I had the car sold. After the canadian holiday weekend, he was going to send me the rest of the money. Well the dollar decided to get real strong last week. If he still buys the car its $5000 more this week compared to last. How nuts! I am actually going to a lesser priced car right now due to the economy instead of laying out more for a C6 Z06. I am going back to a c5 I believe.

You should try listing it on the other xlr sites as well.

There are quite a few owners that are on all of the sites.
