Standard XLR's --are seeing abut 16 to 20k miles per set. Of course this assumes correct air pressure, periodic tire roatation and your driving habits.
XLR-V's --cannot rotate thier tires since the rears are wider than the fronts. Some of the "V" owners will be happy to share their tire experiences.
It seems that the run flats--Pirelli, Michelin and now Goodyear have soft compounds that provide more comfort and the run flat design doesn't lend itself to higher mileage.
Some owners have switched to harder compound tires but then they have to run the risk of no spare. Of course, there is the fix-a-flat cans.
Please refer to my earlier post on cost.
I hope all of this helps.

I got 29,000 on each of my first two sets. (Michellin) I did not rotate, but I don't normally drive over 75-80. I keep pressure around 32 psi when cold. They build up to 37+ on the highway. The rear tires wear faster than my front.

Yea I like 32 too. I just did a new set of Michelins last weekand asked them to set the pressure at 32. The manufacturer recommended 30.

Thanks for the quick answers to my question. How much does a set of Michelins go for these days? Doug

I used the Discount Tire guys and was happy.
You would be able to get them sooner than I did since there is a warehouse/distribution center near you. I got a set for $1,200 out the door with the TPM's rebuilt and free rotation.
They also have a damage thing for $45 per tire I think.
I used the dealer to do the alignment and check the brakes. (please see my multiple posts on this subject) while I was there.
Go online and check the prices if you want to go that route. www.discounttiredirect.com
They are in the process of lowering their online prices "As We Speak".

I'v got 25M on my '05 and it looks like I'll get another 5M before replacement. I keep 31psi (cold) which appears to be a good number between comfort and the life of the tire.

25M already with 5M more left? What brand of tires are you running? I could bequeath
those to my ancestors! --Mine are only good for k miles!!!
