Hello all and happy Memorial Day,
I'm new to this form and wanted to say hi. I have a question and I hope some of you can help me with. I am a proud owner of an '04 XLR and wanted to know if there is a way to disable the traction control? I would like to know for the reason that I can't do hard take offs or burn the tires. When I push the button to turn it off and try to do these things, it seems like it automatically comes on. Also when driving and try to step, i have gradually accelerate versus a hard push. This is becoming frustrating to deal with since this car has great power and torque plus I have friends who have Vettes, f-bodies, mustangs, and GTOs who do these things without any problems. I don't try to race them because I feel as if I'm limited in a way even with the power under the hood. Do I need to buy some sort of programmer or get it tuned somewhere? Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.
