I just re-read it, and I equated the 16-20K to price.....seemed a little high to me!

The nice thing about Discount Tire is they usually have our OEM runflats in stock. I've been using them for all my cars since before Al Gore invented the internet.

Well it's time to step up. I am in the middle of a purchase with my local dealer "as we speak"

The tires were ordered today and will be here later this week as I understand.

As a suggestion, it would be nice to see the net differences in total product offered and in pricing when using your online ordering system as opposed to doing a face to face deal with one of your local dealers.

Did you make your purchase from one of our stores? Were we able to give you the lowest delivered price you could find? I will forward your suggestion. Thank you.

Yes I made the purchase from one of your stores.

I did run across some issues that I think you will be interested in--Online verses Retail store purchase.

I would suggest that you reword your "Out the Door" price to specifically address the tire purchase only. As you know the;

--Mounting
--Balancing
--TPM Rebuilding
--Alignment

are extra whether you go to the Cadillac dealer or to one of your stores.

Then there is those pesky fees
Environmental --$4.00
Waste Tire Disposal--$11.00

Well I just got back from the local Discount Tire Store.

As I mentioned I replaced my tires with the same factory Michelins that were on the car originally--4 Michelin P235/50R18 97W Michelin Pilot HXMXM4 GM ZP

The transaction went exactly as we would all hope for.

The tires were ordered last Wednesday afternoon--June 11th, showed up this morning--June 16th and were installed in about 45 minutes. NO ISSUES WHAT-SO-EVER!!! They have the right equipment for the wide rims.

The pricing was exactly as quoted with no surprises.

The Tire manufacture Date was recent--14th week of 2008

Liftime Repairs--Free, Lifetime Spin Balancing Optional Charge--$60, TPMS Rebuild Optional Charge --$20

Based on my experience, I would recommend doing business with Discount Tire if you are wondering where to go besides the Cadillac Dealer.

THANKS CHARLIE, DONNIE AND THE REST OF THE TEAM IN JACKSONVILLE!!!!
