I believe RuthAnn is right. It is the Universal Home Remote most commonly found on the drivers suv visor that can be programmed to operate your garage door opener and other radio frequency devices to turn on lights in your home when you pull in your driveway. Looking in your manual index for Universal Home Remote or could be listed under Homelink.
