where are the side vents????? Glad the color of mine came back (thunder gray)

I personally like it.......the top of the dash got some leather anyhow......

The instrument guage cluster was replaced with the Corvette cluster.

Dont know what happened to the side vents...

it doesn`t look to me like the Corvette cluster, the tach. and speedo in the Vette are much bigger.

side vents could look great if they are made in good style! I`m pretty sure the 09 will have them on but I hope that`s not the ones we saw on the first fotos.

You are right, the front looks now more aggresive, makes slow driver on the Autobahn move over a little faster:lol :glol

What happened to the "heated" steering wheel? The one I had seen and was to be standard on models after 2007 were going to be 100% leather-wrapped.

IMHO, I love the wood on the steering wheel more than all leather....................... The steering wheel heater was just another feature to fail or not be used but for an hour per year.

On my 08, I have the heated wooden steering wheel. I believe it is a new feature for 2008. Based on the following spy picture it is still there in 09.

the look of the partly wooden stering wheel in my XLR is nice but the all-leather steering wheel ( like in my STS V ) grip is much better so I prefer the all-leather.

The heated steering wheel is a very nice feature here in Germany, I use it alot in the winter-months for the first 5 - 10 minutes while the car warms up.

Where the confusion comes in, is the first 3 months of production of the 2008 regular XLRs had a full leather steering wheel, due to wood issues on all cadillac models that used that supplier.

On other models such as STS & SRX there was a credit for no wood wheel, but on the XLR there was no credit, because the purchaser had the choice to add it for no cost if they wanted it. Once the supplier issue was rectified, the wood wheels were standard on all regular and Platinum editions. On the XLR-V there is no wood wheel available, as it has stayed the same since 2006.

For 2009 the philosophy stays the same, except there is no regular XLR, just the Platinum and the V.
