: Best Outdoor Car Cover?

Just purchased an '06 XLR. She's a beauty with 11k miles!

Need to park it outdoors for at least 1 Summer & Fall season....maybe longer.

We get occassional, rain, tree sap drippings and occassional bird droppings on the driveway area.
Given the outdoor elements, I narrowed my choice down to 2 covers......either Covercraft's Weathershield HP or Coverking's StormProof. Any thoughts on these 2 covers or recommendations for other covers I should consider?

Kicking the wife's car out of the garage; cutting down trees and shooting birds are not options unless I want a new wife! I prefer to keep the wife for now ;)
I appreciate your help with choosing the right outdoor cover.
Thanks, Mark

The Covercraft is a good cover. California Car Cover Company has some nice outdoor covers...www.calcarcover.com

Thanks Bruce. I'll check out the calcar covers. There seems to be fine line between choosing a cover that offers reasonable breathabilty while repeling majority of water and protecting from enviromental threats such as dirt, tree sap and fly-by droppings.
Thanks again,
Mark

Greetings Mark!

Give Griot's Garage a look. I travel six to nine months a year and keep both my cars covered (in the garage) with Griot's super-soft indoor covers. Both fit like gloves, and are reasonably priced. If their outdoor covers are half as good, you won't be dissapointed.

Griot's does have some very nice covers. I have dealt with them a lot over the years.

Thanks CC. I've already visited Griot's. I'm aware of their business from their ads in Car&Driver magazine. I dream of driving that custom 2-tone '56 Belair displayed in their handbook 273!
Griot's primarily offers the Covercraft product line which includes the Weathershield HP model that's on my short list. I'm now leaning towards trying this cover but I'll hold off on purchasing it for a couple of days from now in case another forum member suggests a better outdoor cover that breaths well while protecting from Pine sap and fly-by droppings.
Thanks again,
