Is there an upgrade for the radio dash screen appearance for a 2005 XLR?

Can anyone explain why when you program AM/FM chanells you see the station in the P1 etc and on the top of the screen but when you save a channel on XM you still see P1, P2 etc not the name of the station. My Escalade 2003 does this but not 2005 XLR?????
