Just received my new issue (June 08) Car and Driver and on page 18. CADDY SECRETS REVEALED:
From a conference table deep within the bowels of Cadillac comes the revelation, push the envelope, people, get the weight in line."This is our halo car" speaking of the new CTS-V. Well, guess we all figured this out some time ago. Bill (ocool)

The more I read the above paragraph, it may have just been someone writing in and expressing their feelings. Hope no one got too upset, oh well, we'll see come June in B/G what they say.

I doubt it Bill. They didn't listen to us at RII!! They seemed to tell us what we wanted to hear, if they told us anything. Seeing the spy pics of the 2009--I know for sure know they didn't listen to us:skep

Just my opinion

Cubby,
I totally agree with you and I put that in a post about two months after I got back from BG last year. They don't know how to listen because there ego's are so damn big.

Roger that! I took a pic of my car into photoshop and made it kelly green and almost looked like a JD tractor, but sweeter.

I don't think that telling the Caddy reps anything at a Rendevious will help much. This company, as well as most others are working 5 to 10 years out. Asking them to listen, or believing that they are listening, is a little too much to ask as I think many of you found out at RII

I'm looking forward to RIII, to meet and greet you other owners. As far as the smoozing with the Caddy reps, well, for me that isn't very important as I doubt that they will tell us anything real anyway.

As for the 09 unveiling, I believe we have seen the spy photos and if they are correct, then from what I've read in this forum, most owners are "underwhelmed". But if you like what you see, by all means, applaude it at the unveiling. If you don't like what you see, then please voice your opinion with silence. It may be a very quiet unveiling.:thumbs

I may be in the minority, but I still like most of the changes.....I'm neutral on the fender vent...I will reserve judgement until I see it up close....What I can't wait to see is if they did anything with the interior....that could be something that really raises the bar for this car.

I think that most of the objections seem to come from the vents, and the interior definitely needs an upgrade. If you look at some of the "Spy" pictures on the site, I've actually seen two exhausts that are supposedly on the 09. The one we currently have and a newer sleeker version.

Hopefully, there will be a resounding round of applause for the 09. Time will tell.
