And don't buy the unlock code/trick from eBay, it won't work on 08.

[LIST=1]
-how do you enter the code in
-does it work?
-will it allow you to drive and watch DVD's?
-Can you change addresses on the navigation while moving?
-do you have to re-enter everytime you start the car(as the ebay add says)?

I have a 06. What do I need to do to unlock with the 1791 code? How is it entered?

Please let me know where you guys are located that are watching DVD's and - oh and maybe trying to DRIVE A CAR at the same time as I do not want to be in the same neighborhood as you when your accident happens.

The code was changed in mid 06, some have it, some don't.
There are posts on the forum, you just have to search.
No, It doesn't allow you to work the nav system while driving.
Yes, you have to enter it every time you start the car.
All this 1791 can do is get someone killed. I had an 04 and it worked fine but was a pain in the ass when you shut the car off..................wasn't worth it. My passenger was the only one that watched it.

It has been stated in other threads that the sound quality of Music DVDs (i.e. Concert DVDs) is better than standard stereo CDs.

I have not yet testing the claim myself, but if a DVD had surround sound dolby (+5.1 blah, blah, blah), I could understand the value of having a DVD in. Otherwise its a pain.

Even that being said you can still listen to a DVD while driving down the road right? You just cannot view it (unless you have an unlock code).
