All those that attended Rendezvous II received a commemorative "plaque" as shown below. Did anyone mount it on their XLR? If so, where?

You know, it would be nice to see all of the returning R2 members with their plaques mounted .... it would set us apart from the newbees and help them identify our cars ... your thoughts?

RA, you set the precedence, now I'll follow.

I was looking to put it in/on the inside of the trunk area but couldn't find enough surface area; too many curves and carpet.

Thanks for sharing the photo. Now I have a reference.

Went out to the garage and mounted my plaque this morning. Mine in located using your photo as a guide.

Boy do I have a lot of work to do in order to match the appearance shown in your photo. DETAIL GUY has me beat by a dirt-road mile (which we have a few of in Alabama). If I started now, I may be ready for RIII.

P.S. Has anyone noticed how the black "NORTHSTAR" lettering on the cowling fades? It would appear the ink on the raised letters is just fading out, and on mine just one side................. :mad

I think Ray mounted it to the side because we were hoping we would be putting a new R3 plaque next to it! I'm pretty sure it is the Professor that we have to thank for these little lovelies ...:thumbs

Yep, Ray loves Lola .... we took her out today for a nice looooooong ride.... I think we put on close to 200 miles today .... all top down. We saw lots of convertibles on the roads today, but not another X. It was pretty funny, a TransAm pulled up beside us .... Ray heard it's mating call .... we won! :jester

What a great day.

Thanks for all of the nice compliments ... we think all of the X's look great ... !
