quoted from autoblog:

Spy photographers have snapped the 2009 Cadillac XLR-V out testing, and it's clear that Caddy's premium hard-top convertible is getting a refresh for next year. Though the front end is obscured by covering, spy photog Chris Doane claims the grille is still wire mesh, and we presume it will be tweaked to look more like the cow-catcher grille on the CTS sedan. Also new are the vertical fender vents ahead of the doors. What we're really interested in knowing, however, is what's under the car's hood. Having heard it for himself, Doane suggests that it could be the carryover 4.4L Northstar V8 that's supercharged to make 443 hp, but our money is on the next XLR-V using the same LSA motor getting dropped into the next CTS-V. Producing 550 hp and 550 pound-feet of torque, the supercharged 6.2L small-block V8 would be a big boon for the drop-top Caddy. Without it, the XLR-V will not be much competition for convertibles from Mercedes-Benz and BMW.

Thank god GM didn't use the Escalade vents on the fenders.
I think I might like the shark gills and maybe they can be added on previous models. Other than that I see nothing to entice me to buy an 09. Maybe they gave us some toys inside to get us interested.

BoBo:

There is supposed to be Bluetooth a NAV system similiar to the 2008 CTS's if not the same and upgraded "leathers and wood--etc.

The "outside candy" is supposed to tide us over until 2010. Chrome wheels --etc.

Colors and engine mods are still undecided.

No rear camera? We need that more than anything because of the blind spots with the top up. Oh and while we are at it, some cameras inside looking out to catch jealous people that have to key our cars. Cost me $1,500 to get that fixed last week. They didn a great job. Everything was removed to get painted down the complete side.

I agree about the rear cameras!!! I would like to see them as a feature too. BTW: I don't know if you happen to see Unique Autosports on TV. They are the ones who do all of the pro sports guys and gals cars.

Anyway Will the owner was installing that feature on his new Escalade that he bought to replace his black Xlr--the one with the swing up Lambo doors.

So the cameras are available--aftermarket and in these guys case I think they were just replacing one of the back up sensor buttons on the bumper with the camera which had some instructions to hook into out Nav system screen.--NEAT!!!

YOUR CAR GETTING KEYED---Now doesn't that just PI.. you off???? I always thought if only I could catch them while they are doing it. Then sanity comes in and you realize you would more than likely still be in jail for whatever you did to them.

I am happy it got fixed back to the way it should be.

Regards

You know what I find a bit interesting?

If you go to Cadillac.com you'll see six lug nuts on each wheel of the "V", mine has the more normal five. I see the "V" above is back to five.

No big deal I suppose. . .:confused

Floyd, I even don`t know why but the CTS V and STS V got the six lug nuts
and XLR and XLR V got the five lug nuts. Why.....:rolleyes it`s a good question!
