I took the Red X out the other night for the Grand Opening of the Hollywood Casino in the Harrisburg area and again I noticed that clicking sound now and then from the car. I had the fluid flushed in the fall twice but now I noticed the "clicking" sounds are back every now and then. What I'd like to know is "What is making the sound"? Plates in the transmission maybe or the rear? Im a mechanical guy so I like to know just what the heck is going on. Bruce your the Dr can you tell me? Thanks jim Facinelli

There is a new fluid for the rear differential of the XLR. DEXRON LS gear oil Part #88862624. Bulletin #07-04-20-002A, released Jan. 9 '08. It is for all '04 -'08 XLR including V with differential clunk and/or chatter type noise on turns.

This may correct some that have already had a rear differential drain and fill done and have had the noise return.
