If anyone is interested, a 20X8.5 wheel with 255/35-20 tires will work on a 2004 XLR without any rubbing or other interference issues. This combination will work on both front and rear without problems .... for those of you that like the same wheel/tire combination at all four corners. I am running with Driv "Tantrum" wheels. I would think the same combination will work on other year XLR's.

I have read on some other Posts on this web site that the GM rear swaybar Part Number for us who wish to add it to the XLR is 10317560. According to Randy Joiner (Parts Dept, White's Cadillac, Roanoke Rapids NC, 252-537-6136), that P/N is for a small diameter sway bar. The P/N that he recommends, and has been sending out to customers, is 10339124. It is called an "F-Shaft." Figure that one out. Anyway, that's the number on the invoice, and I called him to find out about it. This is an increased diameter swaybar that is better for a "performance oriented" car. I got this information from him today (2/6/08).

What is the bolt pattern and offset I should be looking for when I shop for my new wheels?

Do you have photos of the tantrum wheels installed?

Thanks.

The bolt circle diameter is 4.75 inches. Offset should be between 30 to 40 mm.

Thanks for the updated part number. Just to avoid confusion, the 10317560 P/N cited is for the Insulator (rubber bushing). The "old" sway bar (Shaft) P/N that is superceded is 15806422. Both sway bars are carry a price of $50.01 at gmpartsdirect.com

Cheers,

Can you also post the part numbers for the rest of the components needed to install the larger diameter sway bar 10339124? I assume the clamps etc are larger as well?

Thanks..

If you want a sway bar that really work & is lite weight ( strong & hollow ) go to d3, they got em, you will need the mounting plates also, it will cost you alot more than 50.00
