I took my XLR out because it had been asleep for 4 weeks in the garage. I felt like I was a rock star! Or a celebrity. People were giving me a thumbs up! With smiles on their faces. I could see the wife chewing on her husbands ear and pointing. Now I know why I bought this car.:thumbs I feel like I'm special when I'm in this car. I know its not an exotic 200K sports car, and I wouldn't be driving it if it was. But because it has the Cadillac emblem on it, I think people assume they could have one also. Unlike a Lamborghini.

I know what you mean!! Our Fire Chief had to see what my XLR was all about, he just loved it. He was telling me about his Sky but you could tell he liked the XLR better especially when he heard the Corsa exhaust!!

Occasionally, like today, my wife's everyday driver (XLR) is mine. She needed my truck for the day so I get "stuck" with having to drive the XLR to work. Like you Galen, it makes it even sweeter when you only drive it occasionally. You fall in love all over again. I really have to hold back on the good roads and notice the "exotic" drivers rubber-necking at the intersections. It really does "return the favor."

Isn't it great Galen!!! The weather here lately has been great. I got my V out on Sat., drove around and then washed it. We haven't been quite as warm as you've been in KC but it's still nice here. I have to still watch for the big puddles from the melting snow but it's nice to get the V out. You know we have a saying here in ol' Nebraska about the weather,,,,,,,,, If you don't like it, just wait 5 minutes it will be different.

Last week it was 18 degrees in Macon,almost perfect for having the top down, so I dropped mine If you think people stare in warm weather , you should see them when it's cold.

Too cold??? In CA.? What's your definition of cold? Here, it's been in the mid 40's for the highs! That's great!!! I'll take it any time in Jan.! But,,,,, More snow to come :(

The defination of cold here today is .... high 68 .... low 40 or so .... and, yep, that's better than the last couple of weeks ... so, if the top comes down, then the seat heaters come on! :rolleyes

Ken ... ohhh, that's cold! (the weather temps!)

I took mine out for a warm up run and let the truck sit for a spell last weekend and bundled up and put the top down. Then washed it an put it back in the garage. It was ~41deg here in Omaha. But sure enough, as I was filling it up with gas, I got another comment about 'nice car man!' from a few other patrons. It is a great feeling.

I live AND love in Macon which is in the middle of Georgia. Today it's 75 so the top is up.
