Hello fellow XLR fans,
I am interested in getting into a used XLR (all I can afford at this time), but am unsure about what year to go for. Is there a benefit from 2004 vs 2005? I am searching for a good deal, and the prices are pretty similar, so I am wondering if there are features or specific things to aviod from one year to the next. Thank you for your help and insight in advance!

WELCOME to the forum!!!
To answer your question--there are no differences between the 04's and the 05's that would move to to one or the other. The main thing is to obtain a Cadillac Certified car. That way it will be warrantied as new for several more years.
So, it's color, condition, mileage, and of course price.
You do want to kow the "history of the car i/e no accidents--etc and that the car has been kept up to date with the occasional factory bulletions.
GOOD LUCK in your search!!! Check the classified section on this forum BUT CAVIET EMPTOR!!!

Thom - welcome to the Forum. I bought an 05 a few months ago. Definately buy a Certified Cadillac. Also, as long as you are buying from the dealer, you should be able to get a CARFAX and also have them pull up the service records. That way you can see what has been replaced, corrected, etc. if anything.
Good hunting!:thumbs

Welcome to the Forum,
If you find one you like you can send me the last 8 of the VIN and I can let you know what has been done during the warranty period. Good luck,
Bruce
