I live in major city, but even if I'm in the suburbs--with bad weather or under an overpass, I get horrible Am reception. Is it because the antenna in in the pillar? I have taken it into the shop, and they said there is nothing that they can do.... cadillac tech 11-22-2007, 05:28 PM The antenna modules for both AM and FM are attached to the antenna ground plane on the underside of the decklid. You may want to have your service technician look at PIC3222A that talks about your concern. This concern is considered normal on most XLRs. They can check your XLR against another XLR to see if the AM reception is operating properly.
