It's either or.. Depending on what you select on the instrument cluster. I don't know why they would make it different. Plus, aren't miles still used in the UK?

Bob, this Video was made with the first XLR - magazin test in march of 2005 by the magazin "Auto-Motor und Sport" since then I have this Video with german language. The first XLR`s were sold here in Germany was in May 2005 (04 model).

My dealer here just got his first V`s in - one XLR V and one STS V (export models)
both black on black - not the interior color I like:(

Since I drove the Z 06 last week for one day I`m not sure if I`ll get a V or a Z:D

But the numbers don't change, just the needle moves to the respective position and the indicator (MPH or km/h) lights up. So the U.S. one maxes out at 160 MPH or km/h depending on what is selected.

I did a quick search on UK speed limits and they still do use MPH.

but the 260 kph speedo is too low for the export model because I get mine up to 282 kph (head up display) and that`s 175 mph. Needle on analog stops exactly on 260

Seeing is believing............with your permission Hans, I'm posting the photo you took on the Autobaun.

That's gotta be a rush the first time you do that... I'm sure the car handles it quite well though. Our north american speedometers aren't anywhere near appropriate for that. They only go to 160.

Last time I checked 260 kph = 160mph (actually 161.2):thumbs :o !

the XLR feels very stable at this speed. I just returned from a 600 mile trip and I`ve had it a couple times OVER 160 mph today:thumbs

Now I`m waiting till my dealership gets the first XLR V demonstrator (they just got one XLR V and one STS V in) and I hope the V will also be not speed governed as my XLR is. They give me a call as soon they`ll have a demonstrator and I`m sure the V, if not speed limited like the US model by 158 mph is able to hit the 300 kph ( 186 mph) - but I`ll let you know.

Hey, check out the Z06 I drove last week for one day, it has a 200 mph speedo also the Goat of my daughter:lol
