Is there a way to supercharge my 04 XLR? This car does not feel like 320HP (even with the TC/Stabilitrac off)!!! Also, is there a way to remove the rev limiter, I cannot launch off the line at all, its kind of pathetic when you think about it. Theres gotta be a mod available that can turn this car into the beast it looks like. Does anyone agree??

Please search on the Subject and look for D3 and others.
I think you will find that several members have done a few speed mods and are happy with either the stock XLR or the XLR-V. The REAL ISSUE however is whether or not you are prepared tohave your warranty impacted.
I would want to be REAL SURE that whatever I decided to do was sanctioned by Cadillac.

That's been our issues .... warranty's and $$$ ... and it seems like these cars are so precisely designed that no one is ever sure what chain reaction even 1 modifaction might set off .....
Don't think it would be too much more of an investment to trade your stock in for maybe a used V with all of the mods done .... and there are some great cars out there .... it seems many who buy the XLR tend to garage them and you can get great cars with extremely low mileage and with great warrantys for a great price .... it's like it's been waiting for you! :thumbs

The Cadillac supercharger was not desinged to couple up with the regular XLR. I having had the 04 and an 06-V would say Lola's Mom has the right idea. Find a used V and some can be bought much cheaper than the original $100,000.Is there a way to supercharge my 04 XLR? This car does not feel like 320HP (even with the TC/Stabilitrac off)!!! A local dealer was advertising an 07 V earlier this month for $86,999. Just doesn't seem right.

I've heard that there is something called "Engine Chipping". It works by controlling the amount of oxogyn that enters the engine... i think so. There is a company here in Dubai that does this thing. Actually, they claim that the chipping will increase the engine's power, up to 40 HP. Moreover, they give you 5 years warranty on the engine itself. I've never done that and am not willing to take a risk... I love my XLR as it is. Here is some more info if you are interested

The Northstar engine in the XLR-V has only a few carry over components from the normally aspirated 320 hp engine. Just to give you an heads up on the difference between the two engines the block was reduced in size from 4.6L to 4.4 and reinforced the walls to accomodate the additional power the supercharger offers.
I normally don't discuss sales here, but if you were interested in a pre-driven XLR-V, take a look at this vehicle. http://cadillac-xlr.com/_wsn/page20.html (http://cadillac-xlr.com/_wsn/page20.html)

It's pretty cool that the exhaust ports are finished by extrude hone on the "V" engines too. I saw them being done when i toured there with another car club.
