The XLR received 113 points, the Mazda RX-8 received 167 points and the winning Toyota Prius received 298 points. Seventeen cars were considered for the award, with the three finalists listed above. The official press release can be found at: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040104/desu011_1.html It is interesting to note that the Prius is a hybrid electric/gas passenger car and the RX-8 is a four passenger, four door sports car.
