Does anyone have any experience with removing the front seats in their XLR - - specifically the passenger side? If so, I'd appreciate learning about what's involved.

As an alternative, does anyone have access to a service manual for the XLR where I could get a copy of the relevant pages for seat removal?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I wish I could help you, but I've never even looked that closely at its mounting hardware.

Once you get it out, take a look and see if there would be room for an ejection device. There are times when my co-pilot disagrees with my driving habits. :yesnod :nono :yesnod

I'm pretty sure it's just 4 bolts at the corners and the wire pigtail. No, I've never done it but those who have claim even a caveman could do it.

how true....took the "old guy" out for a ride Sunday night and all I heard was "how fast are you going?" " slow down" and "I forgot to bring my .380".
Hope he wasnt' planning to shoot me....but he's not used to convertibles. I need an ejection seat!!

Put the top down, move the seat all the way rearward remove covers and retining bolts. Move the seat all the way forward to get the rear bolts. Lift the seat up to disconnect the wiring harness. Cover the door sill with a fender cover or towel and lift out the seat. The seat is quite heavy so be careful.
