fyi, just learned that Cadillac is planning a 2008 Special Edition Model. There will be a limited build of white XLR's to December 2007 thru February 2008. Available with both ebony and cashmere interior.

I remember seeing older model XLR with a monochrome color scheme on the interior (including the roll-bar area), and later it went to an Ebony trim and color selection (ebony roll-bar and light seats and door panels).

What will be the interior scheme on the Alpine White? If Cadillac is going to use the Ebony trim and light interior, it'll really mess with the appearance of the Apline White when the top is down. I see often that other convertibles have not really thought it through and the break in color (interior/exterior) is a major "DISTRACTOR".

Can some one advise of the interior color scheme on the Alpine White?

Ebony w/ Ebony trim
Cashmere w/ Ebony trim

All the Cashmere interiors on the XLR & XLR-V have ebony uppers. Dash, door panels parade seat & roll-bars.

04/05 XLRs had a taupe colored uppers when shale interior was ordered, that was changed for the 2006 model year.

Thanks Mr. XLR. That shift in color scheme selection was what I thought had transpired.

I guess we'll have to see the Alpine White in all its glory before the final word is said, but the "ebony" ring around the interior will be a distractor if you go with the Cashmere interior. Ebony interior/Alpine White will be great...............or even White leather (throughout) with the Alpine White would be extremely elegant.

I think I like the '06 Star Black model better, I've never seen one in person though. I've got the Black Raven exterior and the Shale interior and i absolutely HATE the interior color. It shows dirt WAY too easy. That's one thing I won't be missing when it goes back in 2 years.

Check out the Cadillac website for pics of the new white XLR. I THINK i saw pics of it on Friday while I was screwing around at work - don't beat me up too bad if I'm wrong! :crazy

Okay, i just spent 2 nanoseconds verifying it - if you punch up the new XLR (base, NOT V) you get a pic of the new Alpine White. It looks good!!!!!:flag

Nice dirt color after rain. Glad I live in SO CAL or my platinum wouldn't fair to well either.My gosh, that's pretty. :flag
