Here's a new one for you all...

Almost four weeks ago my dealer assured me that my car had been built. even got me a vin number..1G6YV34A845007XX (i'll keep the last two digits private).

anyways, my dealer gets a notice from cadillac that my car has been taken out of the queue for "quality control" issues... OH PLEASE....

Now i'm told that my car will be in production the week of NOVEMBER 2...

Let's just say, a phone call from cadillac (beside the dealer) would have assuaged my frustration... but nothing... i'm not impressed.. maybe i should have gone for the SL...

p.s. called my "cadillac personal assistant" several times and haven't had one phone call back... again, not impressed...

any comments, folks?:banghead

I understand what you are going through since I went through exactly what you are describing and it took an extra 60 days to receive my vehicle. All I can say to help "commiserate" with you is that once you do receive it, you will be very happy

The blue one I posted pictures of yesterday was a 7xx, so don't get too discouraged.

Dealer called me today to give me my "new" VIN number.

It is 1G6YV34A4456010xx.

So, the car has been built. Let's see how long its gonna take to get this car in my garage...

BTW. Dealer has been helpful, but the Personal Assistant USELESS when it came to finding out why i didn't get my last VIN car....

Maybe Troy or NCLONCTLA can clean up the repetition above?

I have the same problem and mine "Personal Assistant was/is Nick.

Same color Blue/Saddle. Mine was completed on 11/2 so we may see our cars about the same time.

The dealer didn't have the tissue yet .

Regards

You have the same problem with what exactly? The "Assistant" or the car? I too have an "Assistant" (forgot the name...i'll have to check) but he has been contacting me chronically.

You (NCLONCTLA) have already made your position clear. Thanks anyway.

The issue I was referring to is/was with the assistant function which seems to be one that is set up for PROSPECTIVE purchasers as opposed to one that resolves problems and obtains answers to questions for current buyers.

I am amazed that the cadillac heirarchy is such that one group has the information about where cars are and the other groups including the customers cannot be privied to it.

Let's face it if the Chairman aware of the fact that whole "batch" or "multiple batches" of cars were continually turning up "missing" somewhere in the distribution/supply chain he would go off!!

I MAY BE going out on a limb BUT, I further speculate that he would not be happy if that was the answer being conveyed to purchasors of his top of the line product offering.
