Everyone remember the Performance Press? The plant news letter that was handed out to us at the BG plant? Dixie has e-mailed me the one from 8/24/07, the issue has a article about the RII meeting at the plant. How can I get it on the forum? It's 2 MB big in pdf format and the forum software won't let me transfer something that big. HEY MODERATORS!!!! Give me a temporary restrictions lift!

ONE MORE TIME. I see most of you know how to put your pics in photobucket, so do this:
Under any of your pics, choose "Direct Link" in the yellow area, then right click and choose "copy". At this point your mouse is holding that pic. Go to XLRforum. Go to the thread you want to put it in and click the yellow envelope at the top of your post. Sometimes a yellow banner will open up at the top of website to allow Script to be transfered. left click and then choose temporally allow script, then click the envelope again and another box opens up. right click and choose paste and enter.
Poooooooooooof, there it is in your post. Put as many in as you want.

Nice to see my "upgrade" posted. There were so many cool upgrades and mods on display, and I think I was the only one at the Rendezvous with a hitch like that. If fact, I've never seen another like it anywhere. XLR KEN

XLR KEN:

I am curious what you haul with the hitch.

FWIW: Cadillac said that the frame wasn't designed to haul anything and that the body could be pulled out of plumb if you hauled virtually anything at all.

Do you know something we don't seem to know??

OK, I give........ You were so sincere and had such valid concerns I couldn't continue the charade any longer. Amazingly it took 48 hours after posting for someone to advise me of my bad judgement. Also, your words are almost verbatum to HOMEGAMEROOM when he saw it prior to the photo.

It's a fake (fraud, hoax, faux, phoney). It's made of the same lexan scraps I used to fab the windscreen for Galen. It's attached with a few magnets to a cross-member; removed when in motion or it'd fall off or melt between the pipes.

I went to BG with such "upgrade envy" that I had to have some "mod" that I knew no one else would have or expect. I was right; everything was better than my "hitch", but it was the only one.

Some that saw it at BG were immediately told of it's true condition, but some I told at the last minute before I left (sorry PROFESSOR). If you read the related posts below, most already knew. And I do actually own a 27' Travel Trailer..........only pulled by my PU and never by my XLR.

Sorry for the joke, but BG was so much fun I had to add to it some how. BTW, I still have "upgrade envy"; the XLR's at BG were absolutely beautiful in all their configurations! ........except the one with the trailer hitch. ;)

Jim, Sorry but the hitch is "one of a kind", just like me. :jester If you read down about 5 posts, you'll see my confession. It's made of lexan and attached by magnets. I may attempt to post a photo of the "hitch" if I get the chance. XLR KEN
