First...........What company built it? I have a Volant with the air duct covers removed and I have no problems at all and I'm getting a lot of air. (ram air). Talk to the company or put back your other filters until you get it figures out. Don't tell me you threw them away?
Bad Bounty Hunter if you did.http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/14/14_6_1.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZS)

Sometimes if the filters are over oiled they will foul the MAS. Love the kitty with the gun BTW

Bounty Hunter,
K & N makes a spray cleaner for these types of filters. Just spray it on and let it sit for a bit and then GENTLY hose them off. After they dry apply new oil to the filter (Also available from K & N) They just need a light coating to grab dust etc. in the air.
