May be a re-hash - but -- Does anyone know the actual "offset" values which are required as you move to larger wheels.

Stock XLR wheels are 8" width with a +51mm offset (as best I can learn). So as you go to wider wheels (8.5, 9, 9.5, 10) - what offset is needed? Obviously we need to balance the wheel-well width and "bias" relative to the wheel mounting flange to avoid things hitting. So does anyone know the required values (either my measurement - or experience)?

In addition to that - we obviously have limits on the tread cross section (i.e. width of the tread) - by research I am finding 9.7" for the front and 10.7" for the rear - does anyone have data confirming this too?

I got this one.................I left you a book on another post, and in that book I told you that I bought new rims and tires.
This is what I bought
Dub-------Dirty Dog 20" chrome rims
520-285-34 with Tire Pressure Monitor holes in rear of rim and Air Pressure Valve on front for easy air access.
Pirelli 255/35/20 Rosso's. No more run flats or odd size tires& rims, I love it.
I even have my rear and front lowered using the 1 inch lower bolt on all four corners and nothing hits. If you lower the vehicle using these bolts, be careful of the front. It had a tendency to settle to much and the ride up front, will make you think your riding in a low rider. The rear has a little bounce to it but not bad and looks good lowered in the rear. It has the squaty look.

I just noticed you have an XLR, not a V. I also had chrome 20" Foose speedsters on my 04 XLR with so" tires that equaled the stock values and had no problem.
