Well, it finally happended to me - the top got stuck in the down position. You can hear the motor running, but the trunk lid does not come up (even with key or with fob).

Its in the shop now. For those who have had similar issues, what was the cause? A sensor unit? Control Module?

I'll see how long this takes, but may not have the car for the July 4th weekend.

I often get a rash of that after I wash the car. Been in several times with it, they've replaced some wires and microswitches and cleared a drain. Most recent episode was a "motor overheating" message after I washed the car. Later that same day and thereafer... normal operations.:confused

Mine was a fire extinguisher, jammed under the right top hinge near the passenger seat. $365 later, it worked fine.

Could not get the trunki to open at all. You heard the motor running, but no movement.

The dealer said they could open it manually. Then without replacing anything, it started working again.

They got no error messages and did not know what to fix?

Mine did the same thing - the dreaded intermittent fault. It wasn't until the switch failed completely that they could ID the problem.

And mine stuck in the "in-between position" - half open - while it was raining (you may recall). That means it could not be driven until I figured out how to manually get it to move.

Luckily, it is not difficult.
