: 0-60 4.5 sec.............
harrysxlr 02-18-2006, 11:50 AM Hi,
today I received my US car magazins and almost unbelievable for Motortrend, the test numbers:
0-60 4.5 sec. - 0-100 10.9 sec. - 1/4 mile 13.0@109.2
these test numbers are similar to the C6 Vette this one is pretty fast.

motorboat 02-18-2006, 12:27 PM Harry,
Do you know what the numbers are for the XLR?
I would like to is the difference between the two if possible.
Is there that big a difference?

I'm sure it won't be gracious whatever it is. I said that someone had said 4.3 and he flat out told me the V wouldn't do any better than 4.9 and I was day dreaming.
I realize that two seconds is a life time at those numbers but I guess well have to go back to my MPH test of the ACC that started a war, so here goes another war.
I will say that 4.9 is a lot different than 4.5............twice the life time as above.

Hi there,
had a nice Birthday-Party?
Blaise, I have all these numbers in my magazins
XLR was tested XLR V so far
0-60 5.6 - 6.0 sec. dep.on mag 0-60 4.5 - 4.8 sec. dep on mag
0-100 13.8 - 14.2 sec. " 0-100 10.9 - 11.9 sec. dep on mag
0-150 49.0 - 55.0 sec. " 0-150 27.8 - 29.2
As you see the V will walk away the stock XLR like from 100 - 150 mph like nothing.
All I can say, my XLR doesn`t feels slow in these mph regions, but there is a V what does it alot better.
Have a nice weekend and holiday
Harry

Hi Bob,
to end the war Mswaim might buy hisself an XLR V:lol
I would like to see you two guys doing a 1/4 mile race head by head.:glol
Bob, the more I see of the V, the more I like it and this light platinum with shale interior was your best choice. C&D tested the color combo you`ll get.:cheers
schönen Sonntag und Feiertag

mswaim 02-18-2006, 04:24 PM No Hans, no XLR-V for me. I've owned an XLR and now enjoy XLR-V performance while I wait for my Z06 to arrive. My wife and I decided that she would stick to owning her own weekend car so that left the field open for me. I ordered my Z06 this week so I'll keep beating on the C6 until it gets here.
The whole 0-60 debate is a moot point anyway - at least until someone can actually produce numbers that can be trusted.
Let's face it Harry, you have posted information gleaned from numerous sources indicating 1/4 mile times from 12 flat to 13.01. You have posted 0-60 times from 4.3 to 4.5.
Bob quoted a "high level" source that stated the V would run 0-60 in 3.8 seconds -Bob also stated times of 4.1 and now 4.5
Me - I'm sticking to my one and only position, the car should run somewhere between 4.7 and 4.9 seconds. I may be wrong, but I'd bet I'm closer to what the real end-user numbers will be. And if the car does actually run 4.5 or less, then more power to it. Afterall, for the money it should perform that well.

Hi Mswaim, Danny, that is "thoredan" from cadillacforums.com he swears on his new XLR V, say`s the car feels so strong (he droves a couple amg-mb)before.
But still, the Z06 beats almost anything what`s on the road - so, good choice!!!
Do you get it for sticker?
Harry
sunsetZ51 03-21-2006, 10:41 PM it is strong but feels stronger due to the fact that its supercharged. The boost of the supercharger makes the car feel faster then it truly is. My buddy has a saleen mustang and WOW it feels like a 12sec car, but in reality it pulls a 13.4 1/4 mile.
