Jack,
The pictures that Harry sent me from the Germany show where very impressive and it was the platinum. Same as mine. I liked it so much that I changed my color scheme to platinum and shale. Scott Allen called me to let me know that mine would be do in March, while the first one which was ordered before me will be do in January.

The "scoop" on the hood is smaller than I expected and it really looks good. :flag

Bob, you`ve just choosed the right color combination and this Lloyd floormats in shale will fit perfect. :thumbs
Jack, the raised hood is the best size it could be, from the inside view it seems a little bigger than on the outside.

Here maybe some good news, as I found out the STS V price should be announced by 77K but on the GM.COM I saw it`s priced with $ 74.990 -
maybe it`s the same with the XLR V :D

Doesn`t $ 94.990 would sound good???? Well, we`ll see.

Have a nice sunday guys

I also attended the SEMA show in hopes of seeing the next Escalade..The Crimson Red XLR-V was awesome. I spoke with a GM rep who said they had 0-60 runs in the 4.1 to 4.4 range but were hesitant to advertise the lower numbers due to driver varibles. I also asked if the V tires and rims could be put on the XLR. Unfortunately they won't. They are wider and look much better. I was told the new Escalde will be shown for the first time this week in Phoenix AZ.

Hans,

If wishes were horses, beggers could ride. I only hope your right. BTW, I didn't see the price of the STS V on the Gm site at all.

Did the read the post about the XLR-V being around 4.1 in 0 to 60?

Hello Bob,
go to gm.com - dealer locator - enter a zip - model and there you`ll see it.
Hey 4.1 from 0 - 60 that would be it!!!!!!! Where did you read it? The STS V should arrive at the dealers this month, so the first road-tests must be in some magazins likr Road&Track or Car and Driver, did you see the new (dec.) issues?

Bob, if the XLR V is faster than the stock C6 Vette (not the Z06) I think I have to buy one. :yesnod

Have a nice week my friend

Harry - In an earlier post I mentioned that I was #1 for an XLR-V at my dealer. Well, they called me over the weekend to confirm. I was quoted $100K. When asked what they would give me for my "trade" - a spotless '04 Xenon Blue with 8,500 miles - $51K.

I told her that I would have to wait.

Hi Aviator, puuuh that doesn`t sound as a good deal for you!!! :nono
I know, I paid 69.5 K Euro for mine and whatever the V costs, I trade mine in if I get 59.5 K for it.
Your 04 spotless with only 8.500 miles on it and $ 51 K if you buy a V - I wouldn`t do this. I hope some roadtests come up soon to see what the V is able to do and what is the correct price.

I agree with Harry, I'll probably go for the $100,000 but $51K is out of the question. double Puuuh on that. He makes $16,000 on the V and will turn yours over for around $60,000. Thats a little to much profit, even if you had more money than God.Hi Aviator, puuuh that doesn`t sound as a good deal for you!!! :nono

That number on the 04 as a trade number is fair. I have not seen any go through the auction at Manhiem lately any more than 53K for an 04. Hey even an 06, take possension drive it off the lot do a U turn and the best you would get is 62K. Like it or not that's where they are at.

Upstate, if you have to sell your car and don`t get a new one this price is OK.
If you want to trade, like Aviator a car with 8.500 miles on and looks "like new" for a car for around $100 K the 51 K is a joke.
If you would trade for this price it`s up to you, I wouldn`t. :nono

Last week I´ve asked the sales-manager where I bought mine what I would get for mine if I buy a V - he said around 60 K Euro. THIS IS FAIR. :yesnod

The V is a "no-go" for me.

But I think upstate is right - middle to low 50s for a spotless '04 trade-in with no damage history. Maybe 6-10% above that for a private party sale.

Here in Texas, we have a 6.25% sales tax on automobiles. If you trade in your car, you only have to pay sales tax on the difference in the proce of the two cars.

So if you pay say $100K for a car, and have a $51K trade, sales tax is due only on the $49K. Trading-in would save me about $3K in taxes.

Not enough incentive to move on it, however.

Hi Revegas,
take a look at Cadillac.com there you`ll see the 2007 Escalade. Not too big changes but it looks real great. Doesn`t 6.2 liter - 403 hp sound great?
