Lets see the final price. I bet it's around 80 to 100 and that may not meet the sellers reserve. Didn't you recently buy one around $60?Here is an exhaust plate that seems reasonbly priced on Ebay.

Well it ended up costing more because the 60 was the plate and then the Caddy logo had to go on it. By the time I was done it was not to far from 100.

On further review and reading the owner has made these, then blowing up the picture, these couldn't even be parked in the same driveway with my plate. I'll have to take a picture of mine , now that I have a 5.0 Pixel camera, then I'll put the setting on macro.:nono :nono :nono

No doubt but at 20-25% of the cost that would be like comparing any 20-25K car to the XLR. I've seen ones like yours for $350. but for hanging on your tail pipe some people might not want to spend several hundred and if it looks good, and lasts even half as long its is a good deal. :lurk

I don't quite understand. Why would anyone buy an expensive car and then hang dingle dong balls on it, mud flaps, and doggies in the back window that bob their heads & cheap imitations of good products?

I guess my answer would be, hang that plate on a 20%-25% car. I personally don't believe it belongs on an XLR. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/8/8_1_221.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZNxdm414YYUS)Bob

I understand your point. Just like the first out of the shoot will pay more to be first. You paid more for your exhaust plate and are enjoying it before anyone else. Now they are available for 40% less than you paid. But you enjoyed it. To each there own. Some buy Rolls Royces and don't keep them clean because to them it's just a car and they most likely made there money qwick or easy. Other's value an expensive car because it took a lot to afford it. Some believe that any modifications detract from the car. Hey these plates are all over the rear ends of Corvette's that cost 55-65K. And some who own XLR's are trying to figure out how to put Vette performance parts on there XLR so it doesn't bother them to do that. :lurk

This was a thread I started to tell everyone of an exhaust plate that was available on Ebay. You jump in and turn it into defending your $600 exhaust plate and how it is the best. I don't know if you are trying to convince yourself or everyone else. If it is to convince you then fine if it is everyone else then give it up. To turn this entire thread into a debate about your wonderful best there is exhaust plate, well is ridiculous. Then to show everyone how little class you have you make the comment that someday I will be in that position not to afford the first one out of the box, is crazier. That's rich man envy talk. How immature at any age. Anytime I post a thread about exhaust plates you always jump in about yours. Well guess what I've seen yours. You offered to sell it to me for $600. and I did not think it was worth it and did not buy it. Now get over it and stop trying to convince the world about your exhaust plate. Move on. Why do you feel the need to insult me? All is said was you can no longer see yours and that was what you told me and posted here. Save the camera you bought yours and no one else thinks its worth $600. or it would have been sold by now, its only been a year! :banghead

Don't be discouraged Upstate, Bob can't help himself. In fact, I'm willing to bet Bob's plate still has the price tag attached so everyone will know he paid $600 for a $100 item.

Hey Bob - it's 5 megapixel and if you read the logo on the side of the camera, it most likely say "Canon"..................

On top of that you accuse the dealer of ripping you off.

Sorry Bob, I call them as I see them and at this point the only bully around here is you. Must be a tough image to uphold, what with the cane and all.

Bob this site is for people to pass on info and interesting experiences about there XLR. Some are XLR owners and some just appreciate cars in general. The information you offered in this thread is neither interesting nor informative. For you to read my posts and try and insult me about living in New York or choosing to buy my car used is sad for your sake. If you didn’t have so much time on your hands you maybe would be to busy to act this way. If the way you treat people on this site is an example of your life, then it is no wonder you have so much time on your hands. A supposedly rich very lonely guy who defiantly has an inferiority complex. My worth as an individual is not determined by any of the Cadillac’s I currently own, nor by the size of my home, you see Bob it wasn’t to many years ago when I was in my early 40’s I owned more than one Rolls Royce. Who cares big deal. Means nothing to me. If you have nothing of value to offer here, information that others can benefit by then why do you offer anything at all. My original post offered information that some might be interested in, everything you offered after that was of no value to anyone. All it did was make you look foolish. The old saying, I would rather not say anything and let them guess how much I know rather than open my mouth and show them how little I know is very appropriate here. Try and stop yourself right now from posting anymore and further deteriorating everyone’s opinion of you. Save yourself from yourself while you still can.

Bob -
I think the problem is that posting in this forum is not "interpreted" the same as the spoken word. Often words jotted off haphazardly are taken wrong. In my humble opinion, the "crap" in this thread started with your "No No No" post.

If this were three guys sitting around drinking a brew trading jibes about the custom touches to their rides, I believe those words would have been viewed as "good BS". Needling, if you will. I "got" it - but I can see why upstate didn't.

However, you must be able to see that upstate took your subsequent posts as insulting to his suggestion. You basically "dissed" him, and that was uncalled for.
Here in Texas, everyone deserves a respect...until they give you a reason to the contrary. My mama said so.

I have refrained until now from the frequent eruptions, and do not intend to referee anything. But I have just had it with bickering.

Despite the "entertainment value" of conflict, the forum could be so much better without this stuff.

Bob, if you scroll to the top of the page you'll see in bold letters the word FORUM.
what that means is a group of common interest people typing conversations in a group format.
This is everyones conversation, not your playground nor your own personal Email.
