On 9-20-05 I will be with the XLR-V as well as the Classic XLR at the Bondurant driving school in Arizona for a few days. As I have said all along, to be a premier XLR dealer you need to stay on top of the newest advances.

I have always felt that the type of owner that is looking at an XLR, SL, SC430 or to a lesser degree the XK8, is willing to purchase their XLR anywhere within the country as long as they are working with a true product knowledgeable XLR Sales Executive.

Today I spent my day in a comfortable 106 degrees in Mesa Arizona(Bob Bondurant) High Performance School of driving. The huge improvements in the 2006 roadster made the XLR feel like a totally new vehicle. One of these examples is to the power steering cooling system made the roadster feel responsive even after hours of driving in this extreme heat.

The Suede/Leather all Ebony interior (seldom seen in photos) in the V series, I will be posting a lot of updates and great photos on the Classic XLR & the XLR-V. The Beautiful stance of the XLR-V, with it's 19" 10 spoke Sterling Silver finish wheels was breathtaking in the hot Arizona sun.

Today I spent the day driving the Mercedes SL, Lexus SC430, and the Jaguar XK8 along with the XLR on various road courses.

Tomorrow, I will be spending a greater part of the day at the track and out and about driving all the competitors in a head to head street comparison.

Stay Tuned!

Thanks for the update Allen, sounds like you are having a great time. Look forward to the updated photos and more information on engine heat issues, brake fade (or lack thereof) and how well the new tranny holds up.

It has taken a little longer than anticipated, but the XLR-V photos are now up and available to see from my recent trip to the Bob Bondurant High Performance Driving School.

Simply go to: www.CadillacXLR-V.com (http://www.CadillacXLR-V.com) then click on the Bondurant Pics button on the left menu.

A minor note of clarification for anyone who may try to contact Bondurant by looking up the number in a phone book or by calling information: the school is located adjacent to Firebird International Raceway in Chandler Arizona, not Mesa. A small point, but maybe important if you want to call. ;)
