Just registered, I currently do NOT own an XLR, but am on the hunt for a low mileage ’08 or ’09 XLR-V. I am a long time car/bike/boat guy currently roughing it on the mean streets/vineyards of Napa CA.
I had previously owned an ’05 CTS-V that I had purchased new, added coil overs, cat-back (California!) and an intake, then proceeded to torture it on the Northern California tracks.
I currently have a 65 Caddy Drop Top that I have spent the last year bagging and it should be close to being done in about two months.
Anyway, I am selling my 69 Vette (beautiful car) that I finished up a few years ago and just haven’t driven it much.
I have actually been on the fence between a XLR-V and a newer (’12 to ’14) CTS-V – pros and cons for both, but after speaking with the D3 guys down south, I am looking for an XLR-V and I will go from there!
- D3 pulleys, intake, exhaust, tune etc
- Coil Overs
- D3 Wide Body kit
- LS/6-speed injection??? (future!)
Gotta admit though, some of the headlight, mechanical top etc stories that I have read on this forum kinda scare me!!! Oh well, who buys a car like this to then start modding it and then worries if it was the “right” thing to do!!
