Google "GM Discount Parts" and you'll find plenty of sites that charge what a dealer pays (about 40% off). Compare shipping for the best deals; many sites make their profit by over-charging for shipping.

gmpartsdirect.com is just one of the more popular sites.

I just ordered 2 after market front shocks for my 04 XLR for 95.80 each. He said if they don't fit & work as good as OE I can send them back for a refund. They are located in Nashville Tn. My Dr is in Nashville, so I go to Nashville a lot. If they don't work as good as OEs I can face him face to face. I found them on Ebay.

The aftermarket shocks seem to work as good as originals. I am now getting a " Do not exceed 80 mph" on the DIC. It seems like I got that before when I had my car worked on.I haven't hooked up my tach 2 yet to see what it says. I very rarely exceed 80 mph anyway.

Your Electronic Suspension Control Module is sensing a problem. If you went with non-OEM shocks, you have to include load resistors to trick the ESCM into thinking your car has the original mag shocks. (Which is why I recommended OEM shocks in my previous post.)

Faulty Wheel Position Sensors can also cause this message.

Your Tech 2 and Service manual should pinpoint the problem.
